JOB DESCRIPTION:  

Responsible for performing benefit analysis and over all administration of healthcare benefits for all eligible employees. 

Review and audit all healthcare benefit invoices for accuracy before submitting for final approval, resolving discrepancies with health insurance carriers. Collect, analyze and interpret data from vendors/carriers for reporting to the HR Management, including cost projections and evaluation of vendor renewals, as well as, facilitate resolution;

Strictly maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employee benefits. Maintain a current knowledge and awareness of applicable laws, regulations, principles and practices relating to employee benefit program administration.

Approve expenditures for all health benefits and reconcile benefit costs on a monthly basis.

Collect, analyze and interpret data from vendors/carriers for reporting to the HR Management, including cost projections and evaluation of vendor renewals, as well as facilitate resolution. 

Oversee healthcare benefit deductions, retirement contributions, new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions, so that they are processed accurately and timely. Interact with Finance Department to request final manual check(s) for
terminating employees; ensuring the appropriate healthcare benefits and voluntary insurances are deducted. Administer COBRA for all eligible employees. 

Review and verify final output of payroll deduction relating to health benefits per pay period, prepare reconciliation analyses of payroll deduction with health care benefit invoices, resolve vendor report discrepancies with payroll deduction report and communicate with vendor representatives in a timely manner.

Coordinate and co-manage with the Director of Human Resources in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Human Resource Management (HRM) programs, i.e. recruitment, training, career development, performance management, benefits and compensation, discipline and discharge, maintain personnel action and employment records

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Must have Master’s degree in Business Administration or Management, or its equivalent;
